[ Terra could say the same--he would like for all of today to wind up just equating to a bad dream and instead everything that's today and yesterday would've never happened. Instead, they got all of this -- a douse of the coldness that is some twisted reality.
It was times like these that he found himself wandering over to the garden, and it was honestly for some peace of mind. Otherwise he might try to punch someone out again if they said something wrong and no one would want that. ]
Isn't it?
And even looking over from here, the moon isn't a bad sight either.
[ He didn't expect anyone else to be here, but he's actually okay with that. ]
[ The brunet looked from her to back up at the sky, at the stars.
The brunet reminds so many times when the three of them would sit around in the Land of Departure, gazing up at the starry sky.
Another memory comes to mind. His own words: "Being a Keyblade Master is all I dreamed about." Then, a certain blue-haired woman smiled and said, βWell, youβre not the only one.β
β...I know. You, me, and Ven all share the same dream.β
Terra didn't even realize how long it'd been since he'd last seen them. Granted he was sure it wasn't at least two years or so, but still, he missed them all the same. ]
...Back home -- at the Land of Departure, I along with my friends used to sit around night-time, gaze up at the stars and then begin to just talk about our dreams or whatever else came to mind at the time. It was nice, and I kind of miss it.
[ ...It's been a horrible day, to top off a horrible week. Despite just wanting to be alone -- which is contrary to normal, to her drive to push it all away and distract herself, but this is unprecedented -- she can't...just stare at the four walls of her dorm room anymore.
Where's she to go? Rebecca doesn't know. Just...walk around the campus, outside? Even with this she feels shut in. With the stupid wall.
That's where her wandering takes her, actually? Standing at the wall. ]
...Nothing to be done about it. Nothing...to be done about anything, I suppose.
A lot had gone on today, and he wasn't going to go to his usual bed time, as his mind remained active in his decision as to what to do regarding that. He decided to spend most of his time over at the small after-party session, until he decided that it was time to track down Rebecca.
He didn't want her to be alone, so he wandered the halls, searching for her up until he found her. ]
...Rebecca?
[ There she is, he thought, and came closer, but did stop a respectful distance, making sure he wouldn't surprise her or anything like that. ]
[ While Rebecca stares at the wall, as if trying to see through it, Terra'll probably note she looks pretty miserable. Like, worse than earlier in the day, if that's possible. Just overall like she's lost all hope.
But she turns a little, and something a little tired shifts in her face. ]
[ Terra does notice that she looks miserable, but for once he was actually expecting someone to look like shit, not that he'd ever use that word even while thinking because Disney, but. You know. ]
I guess everything that happened made it hard not to be.
[ ... ]
...But I did want to make sure you weren't facing all of this alone.
[ It's late. Remarkably late. But, Rebecca's using the simulation room, and...well, she doesn't seem happy about whatever she's seeing. For one, she's...talking to it.
A person. A man, the same age as her. He stands stoically. She...looks at the floor, voice shaking. ]
This is...a long overdue conversation, I think. I- I hope...it's one I've had, that I don't remember, but--honestly, I know it's not likely.
[ A sniff. She's been trying to prepare for this, for a week, but it's still not going to be easy. ]
I know you c- can't really hear me, you're not...here, but...listen...alright?
[ One hand raises, to cup the illusion's face. Rebecca's caught in her own world, ignorant of anyone who could intrude. ]
[ Terra's been restless--not for any particular reason, and his dream wasn't all that bad either. But it was a simple fact that the end of the week was approaching and that meant that there was a choice for misfortune to occur. Plus, someone had died, which was unsettling altogether.
It made him filled with more energy than he knew what to do with and walking around the higher floor after a late work out. He thought maybe he can find some comfort in setting up a familiar setting in thr simulation room...
However, there was someone there before him. He listened for another moment more, before deciding to step right in. ]
...Rebecca?
[ Maybe he should've thought more before entering the space, but he couldn't help it. He was worried--anyone setting it up so they could see important people they may have known may not be in their best state. ]
I wanted to tell you this...years ago, I should have- [ Her voice cracks, and she trembles, visibly. ] I should've said something before both of us were--
[ And then...a voice. She hasn't programmed the simulation to talk. Isn't quite sure how to, even, after her last disaster, trying to create a real-to-life Isabella and Ashton. It's not even Ash's voice, it's--
She turns, hand hanging in the air and eyes wide. ]
[ He knows he should probably apologize--part of him knew that her talking to the simulation wasn't a good thing. Or maybe, he had assumed too much.
Still, there's a reason why he hadn't bothered to do the same--he doesn't know what he'd do if he'd actually seen them again. Regardless, the brunet tentatively steps more into the room proper rather than just lingering just barely around the entrance. ]
Talking to someone from home?
[ That being said, it's a simulation, but-- ]
...Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt, but I wanted to make sure that everything was alright.
[ He also couldn't help but wonder what she had been about to say. ]
[ Honestly, Rebecca looks like she's been caught in the midst of committing a crime. Did you hear, she wants to ask, but asking would imply...there was something off in what she was saying. ]
Uhh... Y- yes, I was just- just trying to...to get something off my chest, since...whatever happens, I won't- it's...someone I won't...be able to talk to, anymore, so...
[ Where Rebecca leads him is a section of the field. It's a big place, and she's making sure there's no one else around...but she definitely had this place in mind.
After all...it's where Connor first told her of her fate. ]
I- th-there's really...no easy way, to say any of this.
[ When she took his forearm like that, Terra didn't mind in the slightest, allowing her to lead him towards the field, where it was much quieter and no one else currently tread. It was perfect for something like this.
As she spoke, he prepared himself for what she may have said. ]
...That's alright. Well, it's clear it isn't, but take as long as you think you'll need to explain.
[ He'll gladly lend his ear and all that he can following. ]
[ It's way too much to hope for it to be a good thing. Rebecca looks him in the eye, pale. ]
It's not... I'm- I was more than dead, Terra. I was trapped. All of us...w-we were trapped...in the bloody...h-house, the stupid haunted house. I could just...just watch as all these horrible things happened. I barely- I could barely feel myself being me, it was all...everything was just...bleeding, and screaming, a-and...
[ The more she talks, the more of a far away look she gets on her face, the more scared she looks. ]
WEEK 2
Saturday, night
Well, while it wouldn't be out of line with her usual dreams, she's found so far...that wish has yet to come true.
Maybe some air will help? Sometime after the sun's set, when the moon is high, she finds herself wandering. Into the garden, to let herself breathe. ]
At least it's a clear night.
