[ When she took his forearm like that, Terra didn't mind in the slightest, allowing her to lead him towards the field, where it was much quieter and no one else currently tread. It was perfect for something like this.
As she spoke, he prepared himself for what she may have said. ]
...That's alright. Well, it's clear it isn't, but take as long as you think you'll need to explain.
[ He'll gladly lend his ear and all that he can following. ]
[ It's way too much to hope for it to be a good thing. Rebecca looks him in the eye, pale. ]
It's not... I'm- I was more than dead, Terra. I was trapped. All of us...w-we were trapped...in the bloody...h-house, the stupid haunted house. I could just...just watch as all these horrible things happened. I barely- I could barely feel myself being me, it was all...everything was just...bleeding, and screaming, a-and...
[ The more she talks, the more of a far away look she gets on her face, the more scared she looks. ]
[ He feels his blood run cold as she says that--not only is it unexpected, but Terra's never heard anything like it and so as the trend has been, that's not a good thing. It's like she was in some form of eternal suffering--it actually sounded like a terrible spell cast from dark magic or a curse. ]
...You mean, even though you were dead you still couldn't leave?
[ Terra definitely doesn't want her somehow returning home now. Anything but going straight into that kind of hell again. ]
How--do you know if someone had...cast a spell or worse on all of you?
[ ...This is the most terrible curse he's ever heard of. Every curse could be dispelled, he's sure of it. But, he hasn't even heard her mention much of magic concerning her world--until now. He's guessing that there might not be that much.
Even if it's a world he doesn't want her returning to, her friends are likely still going through all of that pain and suffering right now. ]
Whoever did this needs to pay for what they've done.
[ Something like this--it could've only been done on purpose, right? Evem if it was found, it could've been planted. ]
I'm sure there'd be a spell to get rid of something like that, but does anyone else know that this is happening back there? [ As in, anyone back in her world. ] Or have knowledge to break curses.
[ He's just saying so now because it looked like she was about to have a panic attack, which he thinks he might have...caused. He could've been wrong, but he's not about to leave that up to speculation. Better to assume erroneously than to not. ]
Just remember I'm here and that it's just us, just our voices right now--here you can hold onto my hand if you'd like.
[ But seriously...just when he thinks it can't get any worse, it does. This sounds like something Master Eraqus would be able to handle--in regards to the curse. Maybe Aqua too.
...Yes, he's trying to think of ways to solve it, even though they're stuck here and there's no guarantee what may happen.
For the record, he's held out his hand, if she still isn't clutching onto his forearm. ]
It's--I can't even say that it 'sounds' like a lot, because it's more than that. But just remember we're here and not there right now.
[ An outstretched hand is probably the best thing he can do to help Rebecca calm down right now. She takes it, squeezes it so tight, tighter than she should be able to. She can't help but voice it, though, her fear, that...with a trembling voice: ] But what if-- what if I go back there?
[ She fears for her friends, it's true; but the memory of being there overwhelms her, so much so that she's paralyzed with fear. Witnessing yet another death today, of someone close to her, just hammered home the fact that...none of them are safe. ]
[ Terra can deal with something like that, but he definitely notes the force behind it. It's why he brings his other hand to rest on hers as well, in an attempt to help continue to calm her down, if nothing else. ]
I won't let you go there alone, and I'd take you away from there. But even if things got ugly...
[ ... ]
There's a way...to travel in between worlds. If at the end of this, we leave, I should regain my Keyblade and my original abilities, I can not only help you get away or stay away from there, but I'd be able to get the help of Master Eraqus. He's powerful and with the kind of abilities he'd have, he'd be able to do something about the curse. Trust me on this.
I'm sure you won't die here--you're not the type of person who'd go out at night, wandering by yourself. And you have all of us [ Friends, and such-- ] with you. And you know that I'll be definitely looking out for you.
You'll make it through all of this--we all will. I'm sure of it.
[ Terra would never forgive himself if he let something happened to her. And though he knows the fate of them all is uncertain, he has to spread a little hope...or try to. ]
[ She falters for a moment. Her voice breaks, as she says: ]
Connor... He promised me... He promised h-he'd be here...tomorrow too. He swore to me. He's not- he wasn't the type to- to break a promise. He wasn't the t- to do that, a-and yet...
He knows she's right and he hates it. He can't just imagine what it'd be like if he lost her too. Was he being selfish? He just wanted the people he cared about to be safe, and he didn't want anymore people to die! Why can't something like that be guaranteed? Why can't-- ]
...I don't know, Rebecca.
At this point, all we have is our faith, and maybe right now that's just going to have to be good enough.
[ ... ]
And maybe I'm just not willing to accept any situation where you'd die...and end up like that again.

She sucks in a deep breath. ]
I- ...Terra... I remembered something...from after I died. It didn't just end there.

Is it too much to hope that it could be a good thing, he wonders. ]
What do you mean?
[ Wait... ]

Dislikes: Curses
Rebecca wraps her arms around herself, and she shuts her eyes. ]
