[ The mention of his friends draws that mirthless smile. ]
They really do sound lovely... [ And she turns her gaze back to Terra, at last. ] I... Tell me more about them? I swear, I... I want to tell people about them. Ashton, Zachary, and...even Isabella. But...just not yet. When it's...less fresh.
Hey, I understand. I would like to hear about your friends too, but only when you want to, so no pressure.
[ The brunet's smiling a little at that, despite the grim nature of their conversation, maybe trying to be a little reassuring but also just generally being himself. He honestly means it, after all.
He can be kind of awkward sometimes, but pushing people is not his thing unless it's life or death. Which it isn't here. ]
Well, Aqua and I've been friends since we were children, but Ven's the one who came along about...four or five years ago, I believe. Master Xehanort, a good friend of my Master, had brought him in to be taken under my Master's wing. I'm kind of glad that he did since it brought all three of us together, and made things more lively.
Ven's also the youngest out of all of us--he was about eleven when he came to see us. He kind of had a lot of catching up to do. I even let him use my old Wooden Keyblade when he started getting more up to speed.
I think I already told you everything about Aqua. She's talented, skilled, kind, amazing...[ He trails off before he coughs awkwardly. ] and you know the rest. I probably already told you this, but she also loves reading books. [ Or he might not have, it's fine. ] Kind of the complete opposite of me and Ven on that one.
[ Ventus would fall asleep reading a novel, and Terra's mind would wonder most of the time. But he did try his best... ]
Once you get to know each other like we did, it's hard not to, if you know what I mean.
[ He can't help but ease back into somewhat of a good mood just talking about this--he feels a little guilty because he knows that things are more complicated for her. ]
...I do. [ Unlike before, though it's sad, the smile on her face isn't filled with pain. ] When you spend all of your time with someone...you really can't imagine another way to live.
Yeah...I'm not going to lie, I knew when I was going on that journey Master sent me on, I expected to return to them eventually, so not seeing them for months was kind of jarring.
[ If he could see them again...he woild be so happy. Even if it was for a short while. He's sure he's not alone in that.
He'll even laugh a little. ]
If she was here I bet Aqua would've come up with a pretty good plan of action before I did--not that I'd want any of them here.
[ Terra doesn't often have the time to brood on the lack of the presence of those he loved--his friends and even his teacher.
He didn't allow himself it. He had done enough while at the Magenta House, when he wallowed quite a time in despair. But he won't let himself slide back to that, he can't. ]
...You're right. [ ... ] I'm glad at least you feel that way about it--I've been telling myself that eventually our plan will help us work out everything, and if I'm being honest, I kind of wondered if some people thought I was full of it.
[ He sounds... a little amused at that, though if anything. He wasn't all too worried about the idea of people thinking it was a shit plan, but he's just glad to know whenever people took it seriously. They can't be against each other, no matter what it comes to. ]
[ It sounds like something Aqua would say--or maybe it's been so long since he's seen them, a lot of things do. ]
It's true. I'm actually not as optimistic some people might be [ He feels comfortable saying these things, being honest even if no one's prompted it. ] but I think trying to be a little more and focusing on a positive outcome is better.
[ It's starting to get late now, though and he thinks it's time to get going--for himself, anyway. He stares at the sky for a bit; he's almost a little reluctant, but again he's not an expert in conversation either so any words to delay his stay don't come. So excuse this socially awkward male. ]
...I'm going to be heading back now. I'm sure we'll get a chance to speak again.
Of course. [ With this place, how closed in it is... That's a definite. But with friends, that's...a bit better. ] Sleep well, Terra, and...thank you, for talking with me.

The three of you... You do everything together, don't you? It sounds like you know...everything about each other.
[ It reminds her of...her and Ashton, really. When they were younger. When it was just the two of them. ]

The thought can't help but thump in her heart, beating at her rib cage. Tonight, it sounds like a death knell. ]
O-of course not... But you know, you shouldn't...get down on yourself, either. I'm sure...
This place has us trapped, but...what you said, about sticking together...I still think that's the only plan, that anyone could have.

Yeah, you too...
[ He pauses. ]
I mean, sleep well too. And your welcome.
[ And then because he wasn't watching where he was walking, when he turned back around to leave, his head met a wall, face-first. ]

[ He turns his head around holding his nose. ]
...you didn't see anything.
[ And then he skedaddles out of there. That was the stupidest thing he's ever done in his life, he's so embarrassed right now. ]

[ He's gone before she can ask if he's okay, but he...seems it, so Rebecca can't help but chuckle lightly, in the quiet garden.
He seems like a good one, that Terra. Heart in the right place. ]
