[ The brunet looked from her to back up at the sky, at the stars.
The brunet reminds so many times when the three of them would sit around in the Land of Departure, gazing up at the starry sky.
Another memory comes to mind. His own words: "Being a Keyblade Master is all I dreamed about." Then, a certain blue-haired woman smiled and said, “Well, you’re not the only one.”
“...I know. You, me, and Ven all share the same dream.”
Terra didn't even realize how long it'd been since he'd last seen them. Granted he was sure it wasn't at least two years or so, but still, he missed them all the same. ]
...Back home -- at the Land of Departure, I along with my friends used to sit around night-time, gaze up at the stars and then begin to just talk about our dreams or whatever else came to mind at the time. It was nice, and I kind of miss it.
Heh, well, first of all there's Ven -- he has more energy than most people can handle, and he's such a good kid; he's probably the most enthusiastic out of the three of us hands down. He's also quick on his feet and he tries his best; you can't miss those blue eyes and spiky blond hair no matter where he is. He...reminds me a little of Yoosung, actually.
[ There's a small pause and he moves on. Yep, not going to linger on that thought. ]
Aqua, she's -- well she's kind of like you, actually. Mature, loves reading, is already following in Master's footsteps as a good teacher. A Keyblade Master isn't just about saving the world and having special abilities, even if that's about most of it, after all. She's clever, and she's talented in anything she decides to try her hand at. She also cares deeply about all of us, and I've never met someone as kind as she is.
... She also made charms for us, including herself, kind of like something to hold onto even when we're far apart. I have it on me right now, actually since I've just gotten it back.
[ Terra will take out a certain wayfinder now to show Rebecca. ]
Oh... Terra, it's beautiful. They both sound...like wonderful people. [ The way it sparkles in the moonlight...
And then she can't help but- ] Is...Ven short for anything? I can't help but notice- your name, and your friend Aqua's, they both...mean something, in a language I'm familiar with.
[ In reality, though, he's glad someone else likes it! It's a well-made charm, after all. ]
Ven is short for Ventus.
I know my name means 'earth', and well, it's obvious 'aqua' is just another name for water, but what about Ven's?
[ He's curious, because even though his and Aqua's names are obvious, he never knew it was considered to be in another language. Which he knows he hasn't really studied... ]
[ Terra will laugh at that, but it's a good one. He feels like he's heard someone say that before, but he can't quite remember when. ]
It definitely does sound like it. Earth, Air, and Water...I wonder if it's some kind of destiny at play here. Something like someone somewhere went, 'Well let's make sure these three people are named after these elements, have them meet up, and make it so that there's an unbreakable bond between the both of them. The bond of ultimate friendship.'
[ ...Sorry, he's so dorky, he can't help it sometimes. ]
[ At that, he's going to put one hand on his hip and look like he's exasperated, but since they're just playing around it's obvious he doesn't actually feel it. It makes him feel like he was almost back at home, actually. ]
Calling it cheesy now? I'll remember you said that.
[ ... ]
It does. And speaking of friends, you mentioned Ashton as one of yours, but I didn't know if you had any others.
[ Just being able to spark a smile feels like a victory tonight. Everything today was such an exhausting mess, and for a moment, it all seems alright...
...but that moment ends, and her face falls. ]
Well, I... I do, it's just...kind of complicated, right now. [ ... ] Before we were kidnapped, I... I had just...lost one, actually.
[ She shakes her head lightly, eyes on the garden. ]
It's not your fault, really. It's...hard to mourn in a place like this, so...everything reminds me of her, truthfully.
[ A breath, a few moments to collect herself. ]
She was a sweet girl, she was. A...strong woman. [ Stronger than Rebecca ever gave her credit for. ] I think, given the opportunity, she would've gotten along with most people here.
[ He thinks he can understand the idea of constant reminders, as he considered Yoosung a friend, and there are subjects where he'll definitely draw to the blond's memory even if it had nothing to do with him originally.
He can only imagine, however, if he had been thinking that from the start of his arrival here due to someone's passing. He had been fortunate to avoid the misfortune earlier on. ]
I don't doubt it. I know I don't know much about her, either, but I believe it.
[ There's no reason to question it; his blue eyes are still focused on the stars above them, before they flicker back over to her. ]
I know I don't know much about your situation, but once you return home to your friends, I hope you'll be able to work things out with them.
...Me too. The only comfort I have is- well, apparently, time's not...passing, back home. I don't know if I entirely believe that, but...I hope so.
[ She gives a humorless laugh. ]
I can only imagine how the guys would be going out of their minds, if, on top of Isabella's murder, I just...vanished. [ And shakes her head, lightly. ] I... I'm sure this is the last thing you want to be talking about right now, give everything that's happened.
I don't think I ever believed that either. It just didn't seem right.
[ He literally has no proof of that though so he's kept that thought to himself.
The brunet takes pause at that; he hadn't known how the woman had died and it seemed rude to ask, but the fact she was murdered...Terra doesn't answer for a moment, considering what she's said. ]
...Not exactly. But I'm not going to blame you or anything that it came up. Sometimes it just happens to pan out that way. A few moments ago we began this with talking about my friends back home, which was nice enough.
[ Plus, even if it's sad, he has a chance to know more about her, but he's not sure if it's right to say something like that because of the topic. ]
[ The mention of his friends draws that mirthless smile. ]
They really do sound lovely... [ And she turns her gaze back to Terra, at last. ] I... Tell me more about them? I swear, I... I want to tell people about them. Ashton, Zachary, and...even Isabella. But...just not yet. When it's...less fresh.
Hey, I understand. I would like to hear about your friends too, but only when you want to, so no pressure.
[ The brunet's smiling a little at that, despite the grim nature of their conversation, maybe trying to be a little reassuring but also just generally being himself. He honestly means it, after all.
He can be kind of awkward sometimes, but pushing people is not his thing unless it's life or death. Which it isn't here. ]
Well, Aqua and I've been friends since we were children, but Ven's the one who came along about...four or five years ago, I believe. Master Xehanort, a good friend of my Master, had brought him in to be taken under my Master's wing. I'm kind of glad that he did since it brought all three of us together, and made things more lively.
Ven's also the youngest out of all of us--he was about eleven when he came to see us. He kind of had a lot of catching up to do. I even let him use my old Wooden Keyblade when he started getting more up to speed.
I think I already told you everything about Aqua. She's talented, skilled, kind, amazing...[ He trails off before he coughs awkwardly. ] and you know the rest. I probably already told you this, but she also loves reading books. [ Or he might not have, it's fine. ] Kind of the complete opposite of me and Ven on that one.
[ Ventus would fall asleep reading a novel, and Terra's mind would wonder most of the time. But he did try his best... ]
Once you get to know each other like we did, it's hard not to, if you know what I mean.
[ He can't help but ease back into somewhat of a good mood just talking about this--he feels a little guilty because he knows that things are more complicated for her. ]
...I do. [ Unlike before, though it's sad, the smile on her face isn't filled with pain. ] When you spend all of your time with someone...you really can't imagine another way to live.
Yeah...I'm not going to lie, I knew when I was going on that journey Master sent me on, I expected to return to them eventually, so not seeing them for months was kind of jarring.
[ If he could see them again...he woild be so happy. Even if it was for a short while. He's sure he's not alone in that.
He'll even laugh a little. ]
If she was here I bet Aqua would've come up with a pretty good plan of action before I did--not that I'd want any of them here.
[ Terra doesn't often have the time to brood on the lack of the presence of those he loved--his friends and even his teacher.
He didn't allow himself it. He had done enough while at the Magenta House, when he wallowed quite a time in despair. But he won't let himself slide back to that, he can't. ]
...You're right. [ ... ] I'm glad at least you feel that way about it--I've been telling myself that eventually our plan will help us work out everything, and if I'm being honest, I kind of wondered if some people thought I was full of it.
[ He sounds... a little amused at that, though if anything. He wasn't all too worried about the idea of people thinking it was a shit plan, but he's just glad to know whenever people took it seriously. They can't be against each other, no matter what it comes to. ]

No, I'm not really one for star-seeing. I live in the city, after all.
