I've learned some about his life. He cooks for a "family" of five. None of them are his family by blood, but they're the family he's made.
Additionally, I walked him how to make stove pot roast. It was sort of fun.
He just keeps cooking for everyone. After today's events, with the death, we all need food. But I hope he takes care of himself as well.
He's started calling me sensei. It's flattering, honestly, to still be looked at as a teacher, in this sham of a university. We spoke today about history, after he found me comparing the books and he shared with me some laws of magic in his world. Magic! Waver could explain them better he said. I'll try, though that boy's reclusive.
What's important about all this is I discovered Shirou's adopted, though his father figure isn't with him anymore. I also discovered his goal. He sounds like Ashton at that age, honestly.
It worries me a little. Ashton's a right mess at taking care of himself. Shirou sounds a bit more self-aware, but I've still a strong worry.
He's the type to burn himself out.

Or is he? As it turns out he's not the boy he thought he was. That business is infuriating just to think of. Imagine people stringing up a random person and pushing all their sins on him. Disgusting!
How I think of it is I've been speaking with this person, whoever he is, and this doesn't change that.
All that changes is what he wants to do with it. We spoke of that, too. When he was comforting me over Maya. I offered my ear.
He's requested a new name. Tsukasa. Something about the kanji of it, I don't quite understand. I'll respect it, nevertheless.
He still seems a friendly boy. He and Akira are close. It's honestly sweet, to see. Someone finding a connection like that here, while they can.
Be sure before I make assumptions, he told me. But I'm sure Connor's death because he knew something.

What do I do, about the concerns about him I've been approached with? I'm going to keep a closer eye on him. I don't doubt his character. But...
He's surprisingly flippant with people's feelings. But I guess I understand where he's coming from. Is this some of his original self, poking through?
